This is a fine example of aegirine crystals protruding from a doubly terminated elongated smoky quartz crystal.Mount Malosa, located in Malawi in southeastern Africa, has produced the world's best crystals of the rare sodiuum pyroxene mineral Aegirine. This is a fine example of aegirine crystals protruding from a doubly terminated elongated smoky quartz crystal, for a very anthropomorphic effect. The locality is presently producing very little of this quality.
