The tourmaline crystal with a bit of quartz host matrix as well. This is one of the botryoidal or mushroom shaped elbaites for which Mogok is noted, highly unusual "rounded" tourmalines. It features a 1.6 cm-across sphere atop. It is lustrous and translucent with a very eyepleasing cranberry-red color. A fine example of this rare habit on quartz.
